HeadunitAfter an intensive search I ended up purchasing McIntosh MX406 headunit. It was pricey as hell, but I think it really fits nicely in the dash. Unfortunately mStation control panel doesn't have that kind of charm and there wasn't any decent place to mount it either. It was rudely attached underneath the headunit. |

Update:Six months after initial installation I was ready to upgrade my DSP due to fact, that Alpine's internal crossover wasn't up to date. 12 dB/octave isn't exactly what makes ones socks spin... I ended up to use Sony XDP-4000X which requires Sony headunit. CDX-C90R headunit doesn't fit quite as nicely into the dash as McIntosh did, but it isn't terrible either. One of the nice things in Sony is RDS radio (my wife appreciates this). |

Amplifier, DSP and MP3 PlayerThe system is powered with a single 4x75 W tube amplifier. Capasitor, power distribution blocks, amplifier and DSP are mounted on the back of the subwoofer enclosure. There's a hole in mask plate to allow amplifier breath. You can also see the mStation MP3 player mounted on the sealing of trunk to allow easy access. |

Front SpeakersDue to fact that Sebring is a leased car, I couldn't make radical enhancements to the speaker locations. Therefore I decided to purchase a 'perfect fit' speaker set. After some measuring and checking out speaker specs I found that Diamond Audio M3 3,5" coaxials fit nicely in the stock dash locations and M3 6,5" midbass drivers on the doors. |

SubwoofersAperiodic membrane setup in the Stratus worked otherwise fine, but it couldn't produce much pressure. And I want pressure! Therefore I decided to go easy this time and bolted the massive PPI PRO12 drivers in sealed enclosure which offers 38 l per driver. The drivers fire through the back seat. Because Tube Driver gives more power to higher loads, PPIs are wired into 8 ohms. |

PowerChrysler tends to hide battery somewhere where it is as difficult to access as possible. In Sebring it's located in the front bumper in a very very very tight place. I decided to take the power from jumper cable knob and wired it into 100 A Lightning Audio fuse. 0 AWG wire dives under the car from the engine bay and it goes in the cabin right behind the back seat. There was a factory installed rubber grommet with enough clearance to run the power wire through. |
